No good

We took a mini-trip to Ventura this weekend. More pics to come later. We were able to sample sushi in Ventura. There are actually quite a few sushi restaurants in Ventura. We went to this restaurant. It was NO GOOD!!! We ordered the sashimi combo platter. The sushi was cold, like it was taken straight out of the freezer and began defrosting once we ordered it. It wasn't also fresh too. We ate a couple of pieces and couldn't handle it anymore. We actually sent the dish back to the kitchen, paid and left. The owner said they get their fish delivered daily, but it was so bad. The funny part of the restaurant is that it is literally connected to a thai-peruvian restaurant. We saw the owner, walk a sushi dish to patrons in the thai restaurant. And the owner also owns/works at the Quiznos next door. He took our order, then we saw him walk in to Quiznos a minute later. The waitress at our restaurant took two glasses, walked into Quiznos, got soda from Quiznos, and served it to patrons in our restaurant. I sent Ed in to investigate in Quiznos. The same man who took our order was actually making sandwiches at Quiznos too. This was a strange place. We had bad tasting sushi on our tongues after we left. We had to go to McDonalds and get ice cream to erase the taste.

We made up for our bad sushi and went to Sushi Sorafuno today. Way better and fresh!! Our tummies were happy with the make up sushi.
